Therapeutic Book Club

Explore meaningful books in a supportive, therapist-led group.

Bibliotherapy is the practice of using books to better understand ourselves. Selections will include everything from self-help to memoirs and novels that speak to the human experience. The stories, ideas, and reflections we read become a springboard for insight, connection, and personal healing.

These groups are open to adults 21+ interested in reflection and shared discussion. We will read the book in 4 weekly sections, discussing a portion at each session. It’s okay if you fall behind on the reading…your presence and reflections are what matter most. Already read the book and want to process it with others? That’s fine, too.

The facilitator will guide the group with reflection prompts, activities, and discussion questions to help explore the material and support meaningful conversation. Group size is limited to 8 members to maintain an intimate, supportive setting.

January-February 2026

Seeking support in your grief journey? Join a 4-week guided book club reading The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller. Weller invites us to see grief not as something to overcome, but as a threshold to wholeness. You’ll be invited to bring your own stories of loss into conversation with the text.

Whether you're mourning a death, a relationship, your health, or the state of the world, this group offers a nurturing space to explore what sorrow has to teach.

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents

March 2026

This book is a guide to understanding the psychological impact of growing up with caregivers who were inconsistently attuned, emotionally unavailable, or overwhelmed by their own inner worlds.

Children of emotionally immature parents often learn to disconnect from their own needs in order to care for everyone else, a dynamic that can linger long after childhood ends. This 4-week group is a chance to slow down, learn about these patterns, and talk with others who get it.
